Re: Nextcloud accessory - Redis cache

It seems you are running Mastodon, too? In which case you are running two instances of Redis, one for Nextcloud, and one for Mastodon. All without doing much in terms of setup :-) Which is the point why we created UBOS: to dramatically simplify setup and administration. From what I can tell, everyt...

Re: Nextcloud accessory - Redis cache

by j12t » Sat Aug 03, 2019 1:30 am Well, did you execute something like "ubos-admin showsite --detail" and "systemctl | grep redis" and perhaps "ps aux | grep redis" and what do they say? "systemctl status" on the particular redis instance is also quite useful once you have determined from the prev...

Re: Using FTP client with UBOS

There's lots of public info about this kind of subject all over the interwebs, e.g. a random web search produced: https://titanftp.com/2018/05/18/whats-the-difference-ftp-sftp-and-ftp-s/ Many thanks for your info. But I wanted to know the availability of the FileZilla(access tool) for UBOS, not the...

UBOS does not run ftp, however, you should be able to sftp with your shepherd private key.
What does sftp mean, SSH(Secure) FPT or Simple FTP? If you mean former, may I understand that it is the only way for FTP?

Re: Nextcloud accessory - Redis cache

Based on the information that you are provided, I'm afraid I cannot answer the question. In doubt, ubos-admin listsites or showsite and systemctl will probably let you tell. I just want to know a little more detail about the Redis cache accessory on how to work, what to configure etc. If you need m...

logging in as root account

Hi :) I am using UBOS as a shepherd account, and wondering if I can change it into root account remotely. Generally, when I try to use "sudo" with Linux native commands, then sometimes I can see below message from the system, but as UBOS explained, password is not possible to provide since UBOS only...

Nextcloud accessory - Redis cache

Hi. :)

I installed the nextcloud-cache-redis, and wonder if it is working properly.
Is there any necessity to configure this accessory before using or it always works right out of the box?

Inside of nextcloud app, I didn't find any settings about redis cache.

Thanks.

Using FTP client with UBOS

Hi. :)
I am currently using FileZilla as a FTP client tool which supports Linux as well.
But I am not sure if it can access to the UBOSbox (I prefer to use FTP over TSL if available) .

Is that possible? If yes, what User ID/Password/configuration should I have to use?

Thanks.

Re: CNAME(alias) for hostname

Hey, I resolved this matter. The key is to create independent "www" site with redirect app which points to the non-"www" site(my main site). It works well with the registrar's configuration of CNAME(alias) record. Please note this way is quite different from the conventional one which describes only...
