Re: Unable to update (tried everything I could think off, but no joy)

Thank you, that worked. I also thought that sudo ubos-admin update-stage2 -v -v worked, since the output was error free INFO : ubos-admin update-stage2 -v -v TRACE: UpdateBackup::read TRACE: Deleting update backup TRACE: UpdateBackup::delete TRACE: Purging cache TRACE: Exec: pacman -Sc --noconfirm T...

Re: Unable to update (tried everything I could think off, but no joy)

Thank you for helping. The force reinstall of ubos appears to not work. $ sudo pacman -S --force error: no targets specified (use -h for help) PS. Here is the other two responses you asked for: $ systemctl --failed 0 loaded units listed. Pass --all to see loaded but inactive units, too. To show all ...

Re: Unable to update

I copied those 5 files again. This time from the master branch of the UBOS repo. Upon sudo ubos-admin update I still get the errors ERROR: Command failed: pacman -S ubos-admin --noconfirm resolving dependencies... looking for conflicting packages... Packages (2) java-runtime-common-3-1 ubos-admin-0....

Re: Unable to update

Next I tried to fixing the problem by copying the latter 5 perl files from Github. Now when I tried sudo ubos-admin update I get the error ERROR: Cannot create a temporary backup; the backup directory is not empty. Did a previous ubos-admin operation fail? If so, please log a bug at https://github.c...

Re: Unable to update

I mounted the drive via another machine. Deleted the offending 7 files, and now when I run sudo ubos-admin update I get the error: WARN : Cannot read UBOS::HostnameCallbacks::UpdateEtcHosts: Can't locate UBOS/HostnameCallbacks/UpdateEtcHosts.pm in @INC (you may need to install the UBOS::HostnameCall...

Re: Unable to update

Thanks, I'll delete the files.

The problem now is that

Code: Select all

sudo rm /etc/avahi/services/http.service /etc/avahi/services/https.service
asks for a password (which we don't have in ubos).

For reference, the following runs without password

Code: Select all

sudo ubos-admin update

Unable to update (tried everything I could think off, but no joy)

Everything is working great running NextCloud on my RaspberryPi. However, I cannot upgrade anymore. If I run sudo pacman -S ubos-admin --noconfirm --verbose (since, it is the first step in sudo ubos-admin update ) I get the errors error: failed to commit transaction (conflicting files) and Errors oc...

Re: Hardened?

I have not hooked up federation on nextcloud myself. So I'll be your patient zero :-) and share what I learn. (It might also take a while becasuse of time constraints, and me a network setup retard.) What I was thinking of doing was (like you said) opening 1. dhcp to the isp 2. https, but only to th...

Hardened?

1st: Thank you for UBOS, it is great. I've used UBOS to setup a nextCloud server. Now, I want to do federation between my local server and a cloud server. This means exposing it to the web. By default to which extent is a UBOS server locked down? Eg, will it only accept ssh (and installed app specif...
