Post by jrd »

Hi, thank you for Ubos.

I have created a site with two applications in VirtualBox
I have noted the ip address of this VM.

Please, check with this screen

With the navigator in my host (Windows 8.1)
I can see an Ubos page but not my sites!

I try other url... host, host/application
I have this message in my browser: This site can’t be reached

Thank you for your help and time.

This is behaving as it is supposed to :-)

Your site is called "jrd" so UBOS will only serve it if you access the server with virtual hostname "jrd" i.e. http://jrd/ . You are accessing the server with its IP address as http://192.168.0.40/ and UBOS correctly reports that such a site does not exist.

To fix, either:
  • set up DNS (or your local /etc/hosts or such) to resolve the "jrd" A record to 192.168.0.40, and access the site with http://jrd/
  • or deploy (or redeploy) your site to hostname 192.168.0.40 and access with http://192.168.0.40/
